The massage chair was a great touch, felt like a posh lady. Got to wear Japanese-style happi jackets in winter, felt like a trendy geisha. Billiards were fun, felt like a classy player. Nearest airport was Haneda, felt like a jet-setter.

I felt like a lost in translation movie character with the minimal English-speaking staff.

The room was extremely spacious with a dining area, a sitting area and a writing desk.

What a delightful stay, no reason to complain. Fairly clean traditional hotel with superbly friendly staff. Kindness of the staff. A wide array of goodies for breakfast. Marvellous location in Yamanakako adjacent to restaurants and Yamanaka lake, public transport and the lovely garden.
